After Fashionista‘s Friday Rant about single sole heels a few weeks ago. I was so baffled – It is so a thing. The ankle strap heels were all over the streets during NYFW. Tibi made a big statement with them. It is the next big trend – Zara has copies all over the floors months ago. They can sometimes make you look so polished and amazing – given you have perfectly pedicured feet.

But Vogue was right on one part. It is time to break the platform. It’s not so much about the ‘high heels’ being a trend. It’s about the particular style of heels that’s becoming the next big thing.

Did the two names catch your immediate attention already? My all-time favourite New York ready-to-wear brand Tibi SS13 came out with personalised Tibi prints on Converse sneakers styled according to a few amazing streetstyle icons as its muses. The four of them combined may already totaled all my Facebook likes and retweets: Olivia Palermo, Hanneli, Miroslava Duma, (who doesn’t want a piece of a Russian Style heiress) and Elin Kling. These girls fit into Tibi’s concept of laidback, minimalistic yet feminine.

Amy Smilovic designed unique prints on different sneakers like hi-top Converse and Vans. The five different 90’s inspired prints are all concentrating on saturated and watermarked florals, flamingo or b/w optic daisy prints from SS13.
